It is the highest municipality of the Gargano: from above its height of 843 metres Monte Sant'Angelo there is a wonderful view of Tavoliere and the Golf of Manfredonia. Going through the Umbra Forest or travelling along the coast for Mattinata, this town brings you to a place in time much loved and appreciated by Frederick II of Swabia and still today a place for many pilgrimages by the faithful that have been gathering in silence for years in the name of their faith.
